First Hair Cut

Today was the day . . . finally! Jack had his first hair cut and it was long overdue. Of course we didn't want him to experience this all by himself so Daddy got to have his hair cut, too. We made it a family affair and all went to the Hair Cuttery together. Jack was first and got to sit on Mama's lap and chew on a clean comb (clean being very important here) that the nice hair stylist gave him. He was a little wiggly, and sometimes it took all three adults to hold his head in the right direction, but overall he did a great job. After that it was Daddy's turn to sit in the chair. He was a little more cooperative than Jack, but he didn't look nearly as happy as Jack did - I guess it's because he didn't get a comb to chew on! Overall the day was a success.

Some before pictures - look at that scraggly hair over his ears! We usually try to tuck it behind his ears when we're in public, so it usually doesn't look quite this bad.

Doesn't he look so grown up here?

The comb was definitely a big hit - too bad we didn't get to bring it home.

Here's Daddy getting his hair cut and he's not even pretending to have a good time!

My handsome boys with their new hair cuts.
