Last weekend we all made the trip back to Wellford in order to celebrate Granny's 60th birthday (can you believe it -
60 years old). Of course she didn't know we were celebrating it - which made everything that much more exciting! Granny's dear sister Beverly threw her a surprise party with lots of fun gag gifts. We also got to visit with Allison & Sydney (Jack definitely loved being entertained by Sydney), Annette and Dickie, Grammy and Pop, Granddaddy, Granny & Grandy, Beverly & Jim, and lots of Granny's friends! It was a busy, but fun weekend.

Jack seems to get an ear infection every time he goes back to the Upstate to visit family, and this time was no different. Here he is snuggling with Grammy before the big party.

Granny enjoying all her many cards and gifts. Since this is a "family friendly" blog we will leave some of her gifts to your imagination . . .

The shiny red bag was the best toy around, even though the plastic tag got in the way and made some people cry!

A father-daughter hug. If the daughter is 60 years old, we won't advertise how old the father is!! Granddaddy was nice enough to donate one of his canes to the cause for the evening.

A tired Jack and Granny cuddle once the birthday celebration finally died down.

A sleepy Jack hanging out in Grandy's lap at the breakfast table. Just too much partying the night before - and they say old people like to go to bed early!

Posing for a picture with Great Aunt Annette and Great Uncle Dickie. They were in on the whole surprise and made Granny think they were only in town to see Jack (when the REAL reason was to add to the celebration).
