Fun with New Friends

The kids and I got to travel to Columbia to meet up with some of my grad school buddies and their kids yesterday. We missed Caroline (who lives in CA) and Ashley (who's daughter got sick at the last minute), but still managed to have a circus with 4 adults and 8 kids. All of the kids got to play with new friends (as Jack called them) and the adults got to catch up (and play referee a few times)! We had so much fun!! Thanks to Dana for having us over and to Trace and Anna Kate for sharing their toys. Here are some pictures from our day.

Trace, Cade, & Anna enjoying the swings.

William and Carson looking on.

And like always, Jack had to watch from afar before joining in on the fun.

William riding the tractor. Eventually, the boys took turns pushing each other around the yard in the tractor. It was so cute, but I didn't get any pictures of that.

Jana & Dalton.

Anna leaning over to see what the big kids are doing.

Lunch time!

Anna Kate & Anna

I think she was so excited to see another girl that she didn't even care that Anna Kate was reaching for her lunch!

Playing in the playroom. The train that Jack is riding was definitely the most popular toy. (Remember when I said we got to play referee? This would be the reason!)

This is seriously the best picture I got of the three of us!

William wanted to hold Anna. I can tell he's such a sweet big brother to Dalton!

We decided we wanted to try to get a group picture, so Dana bribed all the boys with chocolate chip cookies!

Then we plopped the girls on the end.

Here's the roster: Anna Kate - 10 mos, Anna - 10 mos, Cade - 19 mos, Carson - 19 mos, Trace - 2, Jack - 2, Dalton - 5 mos, William -4
What a crew!

Anna almost crawled right off the couch, so we put her in William's lap to try and get a few more pictures.

I love that Trace and Jack are having their own little conversation in the midst of all the chaos!

Then we tried the self-timer on the camera to try and get one of the whole group . . . we weren't quite ready the first time.

Or this time!

Finally!

We had such a fun day with friends!
