The After Party

After the "real" party, some friends and family came back to our house for lunch and round two. We had 16 adults and 9 children, so it was somewhat of a zoo, but tons of fun! Jack had a great time playing and eating - and that's really what a party's all about!

You can see the icing on his face from cupcake number 2.

Here we are posing with Amy and Lorelai, who's about two months older than Anna.

John Bradley & Emma "cooking."
Here we are with Granddaddy. My Uncle Jim & Aunt Beverly were kind enough to drive all the way from the Upstate for the party and they brought Granddaddy with them (and lots of yummy food, too).

Mattie's favorite thing about the party: Cookies on a stick (just like a big lollipop) made by Grammy.

Sydney loved the cookies, too!

Mary Frances and Emma playing peek-a-boo in the house.

Sydney loved bouncing on the ball outside.

Here's Granny's 9, 412th (failed) attempt to get a good picture with her grandson where they are both looking at the camera and smiling.

We celebrated the second half of the day with a special cake for two special Jacks. Granddaddy turned 92 last week so the cake was split in half. One side said "Happy 92nd Birthday Jack" and the other side said "Happy 2nd Birthday Jack!"

Here's Jack eating the 3rd sweet treat of the day!

Here's another Jack eating his own piece of cake. He's not nearly as messy as the other one!

Opening more presents.

Getting a little help from Uncle Mason on this big gift from Pop & Grammy.

After all the gifts were opened, Mason set up Rock Band, and between Lottie, Marshall, & Mason, we had a little rock concert.

Even Hank got a little love from Grandy once things settled down a bit and we let him back in the house.

Anna had fun discovering a new (to her) toy.

Jack "helped" Pop assemble the motorcycle from Uncle Mason and had fun riding it around the house.

As we were tucking Jack into bed last night, we were kissing him and telling him "I love you" and he said to us "happy birthday!" Guess that means he had fun!
What a great end to a very special day!
