Jack's latest "toy" obsession actually isn't a toy at all - it's a pot and some clothespins. He's allowed to play in the pot and pan cabinet in the kitchen and the other day he opened a drawer (which he's technically NOT allowed to play in but it wasn't child-locked because he just hadn't discovered it yet. When will we learn?!) and found the clothespin stash. Ever since, he walks around the house "cooking" the clothespins! He thinks it's wonderful and Marshall and I are still wondering why we spend money on real toys when he's perfectly content with this!
It was raining last night so the boys couldn't go outside and play. However, they still found it necessary to play with bats and balls, just like they usually do.
One of Jack's new favorite places to play is in the nursery. We have bins full of "baby" toys like rattles, teethers, etc. sitting on the floor and sometimes when he disappears (i.e. gets up from where we're playing together and runs off to play somewhere else, leaving me playing by myself on his bedroom floor!) this is where I find him.
Notice that he made the effort to bring all three of his blankets and Hank and his bone to play this time.
Tonight after his bath, Jack decided to boycott putting on clothes, so we just let him play around in his room awhile . . . naked. Don't say you weren't warned!
I honestly think he's laughing at the fact that he's getting to play for such a long time - minus his clothes! He was truly in rare form tonight while we were taking these pictures.
