Jack's 3rd Birthday

What a fun day!! We kicked off the morning with Jack's birthday party in our backyard. We rented a bouncy castle and invited MOMS club and school friends. It was supposed to be low key but we had over 25 kids here!! He had an absolute blast, though. He usually hates the bouncy things when they are full of other kids, but I think he viewed this one as "his" so he spent a lot of time in it. Plus, it probably helped that we set it up last night and he got in lots of practice rounds last night and this morning before the party actually got going.

An attempt at a family picture before the guests arrive.

This one would have been ok, if I weren't looking at the wrong camera!
Looks like we're ready for a party!
Party favors - bubbles and . . .
yummy cookies that Grammy made!
The cupcakes had candy trains on them since that's Jack's latest obsession.

Uh oh . . . traffic jam!

Grammy and her girl.

The birthday boy showing off his trike skills.

Check out that tongue!

Waiting patiently for his cupcake.

Not sure why he's glaring at his candles!

Blowing them out!

Mmmm!!

Notice the icing on his nose.

Pop helping out the other kids.

Anna enjoyed her own cupcake, as well!
She did eat with her eyes open, I just caught her in a blink.

Aunt Huli even came to town just for Jack's special day.

Anna catching a ride with Isaac.

Helping Christopher choose his party favors.

After the party, we welcomed Jim & Beverly to town (Jack's Great Uncle & Great Aunt) and enjoyed lunch, presents, and cake with the rest of the family!

Jack had a helper when opening his gifts.

One tired pup!

Anna decided she needed to ride in Jack's new Tonka truck.

Checking out his big wheel.

Anna tried to climb in my lap and read a book, but there's a lot less room there these days!

The aftermath of gift unwrapping.

Time for cake - it's Thomas, of course!

Blowing out candles for the second time today.

Thoroughly enjoying his Thomas cake!

The cake was good, but there's always time for a play break!

Anna finally got still in Granny's lap and conked out!

Playing with his new trains after a long, but fun, birthday!

Megan, you are the MASTER BLOGGER! I am sure that post took you AGES to write! That's why I am such a blog-neglecter. I don;t have the patience for all those pictures to load, etc!!! But it looks like Jack had a great party! We had the same idea for Abigail's 4th this year but it got rained out. We moved it somewhere indoors and was just as fun!!!
