Jack weighs 31lbs, is 35 1/2 inches tall, and has yet another ear infection! He's right on target for everything except speech (go figure) so we were referred for a speech/language evaluation. More on that later.
Anna weighs 16lbs 12oz, is 26 1/2 inches "tall," and as the doctor puts it, "is above average" for height and weight. I think this is just his polite way of saying she's a fatty! She sits up great and has hit all other important milestones, except for rolling over! I guess she'll get that sometime before she goes to college.
Oh, in other news, this child just got her first black eye. (There's a shiner on her right cheek, it just doesn't show up well in the picture.)
And this is the child who gave it to her (with the help of a very hard ball that's NOT for throwing, no matter how loud you yell "catch" before pummeling it at your baby sister).

Hey megan - Peyton didn't start really talking until 2 1/2! I always feel like he's about 6 months behind on his milestones but he talks up a storm now! Poor Anna and her black eye but at least Jack warned her before tossing the ball, right? Hope you guys are well. I love reading the blog.
Our Anna is quite the chunker-if you ever feel like she's the fattest baby on the block, keep checking out our blog (it will make you feel better!:-) Anna Kate is 18 lbs. and in the 95%ile for weight and 90%ile for height. She can't sit up b/c it's too much to hold up, but just started rolling over this week. Oh-they'll get there one day and we'll all laugh that we even gave it a second thought!
I love the picture of Jack. Too funny. Just wait until she's up and moving!
Oh- chubby babies are cute. Emma Kate was 20.5 lbs and 27.5 inches long at six months- who knows what she is now... My doctor said that there's no such thing as a "fat" baby. :)
